The steps

How it works

  1. Hang 2 targets in the corners of a goal, or use 2 cones.
  2. Start about 16 steps out.
  3. Take a touch, pick a corner and strike low.
  4. Do 4 sets of 8 strikes, both feet, and count your hits.

Coaching point

Placement first. Eight strikes a set.

Safety: Make sure nobody is standing near the goal, the wall or the target before you strike.

Make it fun

Play it, don't drill it

Game version

Corner targets: two teams of two take turns aiming at small targets in the corners. Each team tracks its own hits.

Challenge

Pick a level: Less (big target), Core (medium), More (small target). Beat your own best of targets hit.

Story

You are a painter, and each corner is a spot to put the paint exactly.

My best

Beat your own count

Beat your own best of targets hit. Only your own number counts: today against last time.
