For parents · your child’s data

Your child’s data is collected only with your OK, and it is never sold.

How we protect your child

Six things a parent can count on

  • 01

    A parent says yes first

A child under 13 collects nothing until a parent verifies they are the parent, as the children’s privacy law (COPPA) requires: a $0.50 card check that is refunded in full, or a signed consent form. Until then the account stays paused. The consent record is kept on file.

  • 02

Never sold, no ads, no tracking

Player data is never sold to anyone. There are no ads on any screen a child sees, and no advertising or tracking software. No AI and no outside company receives a child’s data, beyond the services that run SSTracker.

  • 03

    Safe adults only

Coaches are background-checked, or cleared through their association, before a team takes families. Staff cannot message a child one to one, and team messages copy parents (SafeSport). Each team sees only its own players.

  • 04

Built to encourage, not to rank

Your child is compared only with their own past; no screen ranks one child against another. Mistakes a coach logs are never shown to the child. Game stats stay hidden for 15 minutes after a game.

  • 05

    Locked down

Adults sign in with Google or an emailed link, plus a passkey: no passwords. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest on Google Cloud, and the database denies every request unless the person is allowed. Card payments go through Stripe; SSTracker never sees or stores card numbers.

  • 06

    You stay in control

Parents see everything their child does in the app. Ask, and your child’s data is deleted (in Family, then Household, with 7 days to undo). Only the consent record is kept, because the law requires it. Questions go to support@sstracker.app.

Do I have to use it?

The app is optional

SSTracker helps a child practice at home. Nobody has to use it, and no player is treated differently because of it.

What the app does

  • Short homework drills, about 10 minutes, a few times a week.
  • A progress card for parents.
  • Team messages and the schedule.

Rather skip it?

  • You still get your coach’s emails.
  • Your child can practice from drills on paper.
  • Free printables and weekly workouts on this site, no account needed. Free printables Weekly workouts

Questions

Common questions

  • How do you protect my child’s data?

A parent says yes first, nothing is sold, there are no ads and no tracking, and you can delete your child’s data at any time. The six points at the top of this page say how.

  • How much screen time is it?

The homework is short drills, about 10 minutes, a few times a week. If you would rather keep screens out of it, use drills on paper and the free printables instead.

  • I do not have time to manage another app.

You do not have to. The app is optional, nobody has to use it, and no player is treated differently because of it. If you do use it, the progress card shows your child’s week in one place.

  • We already use another app.

Keep using it. SSTracker is optional: you still get your coach’s emails, and no player is treated differently because of it.
