Ball Drop and Balance

Drop the ball cleanly onto the floor in front of your kicking foot and hold a one-leg balance: a clean drop comes first.

The steps

How it works

  1. Hold the ball at waist height, point down.
  2. Drop it without throwing it; watch where it lands.
  3. Swing your kicking leg slowly past it and hold your balance on the other leg.
  4. Do 15 drops and count straight ones.

Coaching point

Guide it down, do not throw it.

Safety: Clear a small space with nothing to trip on or knock over. Stop if anything hurts.

Make it fun

Play it, don't drill it

Game version

Target-kick game: two teams of two take turns kicking to target zones. Each team counts only its own hits.

Challenge

Pick a target: Less (big), Core (medium), More (small). Beat your own best out of 10.

Story

You are a rocket aiming at the moon.

My best

Beat your own best out of 10. Only your own number counts: today against last time.
