The steps

How it works

  1. Lay a bucket or box on its side 10 feet away.
  2. Sweep the puck along the floor into it.
  3. Point your blade at the target after each shot.
  4. Take 30 shots and count the ones that go in.

Coaching point

Look, sweep, point.

Safety: Keep your stick down and make sure the area around you is clear.

Make it fun

Play it, don't drill it

Game version

Target-corner game: two teams of two take turns shooting at corner targets. Each team counts only its own hits.

Challenge

Pick a target: Less (big), Core (medium), More (small). Beat your own best out of 10.

Story

You are a goal hunter, and each corner is a treasure chest.

My best

Beat your own best out of 10. Only your own number counts: today against last time.
