The steps

How it works

  1. Sit with your legs straight and together.
  2. Point your toes hard and press the backs of your knees down.
  3. Hold for 10 seconds, then relax.
  4. Do 10 holds.

Coaching point

Point and press.

Safety: Use a mat or soft floor with space all around you. Stop if anything hurts.

Make it fun

Play it, don't drill it

Game version

Statue lines: hold a straight line on the deck while a partner checks toes, knees and arms and shares one thing they liked. Swap.

Challenge

Pick a level: Less (hold 3 seconds), Core (5), More (8). Beat your own straightest line.

Story

You are a pencil, long and perfectly straight.

My best

Beat your own count

Beat your own straightest line. Only your own number counts: today against last time.
