The steps

How it works

  1. Play music and dance around.
  2. When it stops, freeze in a pose.
  3. The caller may say "one foot" or "tiptoes" for the next freeze.
  4. Play 10 rounds.

Coaching point

Freeze like stone.

Safety: Practice on soft ground or near a wall with clear space around you, so a wobble is no problem.

Make it fun

Play it, don't drill it

Game version

Freeze Dance with a twist: dance until the music stops, then strike a balance pose. Everyone keeps dancing.

Challenge

Pick a pose: Less (two feet), Core (one foot), More (one foot with arms out).

Story

You are a living statue in a magic museum.
