The steps

How it works

  1. Skate or run in from the blue line or 30 feet out.
  2. Shoot off your inside foot.
  3. Follow your shot toward the net.
  4. Take 20 shots, 10 from each side.

Coaching point

Do not slow down to shoot.

Safety: Keep your stick down and make sure the area around you is clear.

Make it fun

Play it, don't drill it

Game version

Target-corner game: two teams of two take turns shooting at corner targets. Each team counts only its own hits.

Challenge

Pick a target: Less (big), Core (medium), More (small). Beat your own best out of 10.

Story

You are a goal hunter, and each corner is a treasure chest.

My best

Beat your own count

Beat your own best out of 10. Only your own number counts: today against last time.
