The steps

How it works

  1. Lay three cups on their side around the yard. Indoors, use only the putter.
  2. Everyone else stands back behind the player, then chip to each cup and putt in.
  3. Count your own strokes for the three holes.
  4. Play again and try to beat your own number.

Coaching point

Chip close, putt in.

Safety: At home, use only foam or plastic balls and swing only in a clear space with nothing breakable nearby. Keep everyone clear before every swing: look in front and behind, and make sure no one is within two club lengths. Swing only where a coach or parent says it is safe. No real club swings indoors.

Make it fun

Play it, don't drill it

Game version

Chip-to-circle game: chip into hula-hoops at different distances, and the pair keeps one total. Swap after each ball.

Challenge

Pick a hoop: Less (close), Core (medium), More (far). Beat your own best out of 10.

Story

You are a gardener dropping seeds into the right flower pot.

My best

Beat your own count

Beat your own best out of 10. Only your own number counts: today against last time.
