Set up
Start 40 feet from your partner, who rolls a slow ball.
Core: Medium. Beat your own best of clean plays out of 10.
The steps
Coaching point
Field it off the front foot, stay low through the throw.
Safety: Warm up first and stop if your shoulder or elbow hurts. Follow your league throw limits. In softball, a fielder's face mask is recommended when you charge.

Challenge

Story
You are the shortstop in the big game, and every clean play is a big play.
My best
Beat your own best of clean plays out of 10. Only your own number counts: today against last time.
