The steps

How it works

  1. Make two 1-yard gates 8 yards apart.
  2. Take one touch to set the ball and one to pass through the gate.
  3. Alternate the receiving foot each rep.
  4. Do 40 passes.

Coaching point

First touch out of your feet, second touch through the gate.

Make it fun

Play it, don't drill it

Game version

Gate rally: two pairs pass through their own gates and count the gates cleared in 60 seconds. Each pair compares only with its own last round.

Challenge

Levels: Less (three touches), Core (two touches), More (one touch). Beat your own best score.

Story

You are a ferry crossing the harbor gate by gate.
