The steps

How it works

  1. Start 5 steps from a small goal.
  2. Take one touch out of your feet toward the goal.
  3. Pick a corner and pass it in with the inside of your foot.
  4. Do 5 with each foot and count your goals.

Coaching point

One touch to set, then aim.

Safety: Make sure nobody is standing near the goal, the wall or the target before you strike.

Make it fun

Play it, don't drill it

Game version

Set-and-score duo: a partner passes, you set the ball with one touch and shoot into the small goal. Swap and keep one pair total.

Challenge

Pick a level: Less (stand still), Core (a step in), More (a quick turn first). Beat your own best out of 10.

Story

You are a goal-scoring wizard: one touch to set the spell, one to cast it.

Beat your own count

Beat your own best out of 10. Only your own number counts: today against last time.
