The steps

How it works

  1. Stand 6 yards from a row of 6 cones or empty bottles.
  2. Plant beside the ball and strike with the inside of your foot.
  3. Count how many you knock over in 10 shots.
  4. Reset the cones and try with your other foot.

Coaching point

Look, plant, strike through the middle.

Safety: Make sure no one is standing in front of the goal or the wall before you strike.

Make it fun

Play it, don't drill it

Game version

Bowling alley: two teams of two take turns knocking down cones with ground shots. Each team tracks only its own total.

Challenge

Choose your distance: Less (close), Core (medium), More (a step back). Beat your own best strike count.

Story

You are a bowling champion with your feet, and every strike makes the crowd cheer.
