The steps

How it works

  1. Stand between two partners in a line, 10 yards each way.
  2. Open your hips toward the passer.
  3. Receive with your back foot and pass on to the far partner in two touches.
  4. Do 30 passes, then swap who is in the middle.

Coaching point

Open up, back foot, move it on.

Make it fun

Play it, don't drill it

Game version

Open-door game: pairs pass and receive across the body to turn to a new cone. Each clean receive-and-turn earns your pair a point.

Challenge

Levels: Less (turn when stopped), Core (turn on the first touch), More (a partner calls the cone). Beat your own best.

Story

You are opening a door with your body so you can see the whole room.
