Show Them Outside

Approach at an angle so the dribbler has to go to the sideline, not the middle.

The steps

How it works

  1. Your partner starts with the ball on a wide cone.
  2. Curve your run so you block the inside path.
  3. Keep them moving toward the sideline cones.
  4. Do 10 reps and count how many you keep outside.

Coaching point

Curve your run, close the inside.

Safety: Stay on your feet and play the ball, not the player. No slide tackles; any live challenge is only with a coach watching.

Make it fun

Play it, don't drill it

Game version

Sideline game: approach at an angle and show the dribbler to the sideline. Your pair counts times the dribbler is shown outside, then swaps.

Challenge

Pick a level: Less (dribbler walks), Core (jogs), More (changes pace). Beat your own best.

Story

You are a shepherd steering sheep gently down the path.

Beat your own best. Only your own number counts: today against last time.
