The steps

How it works

  1. Walk forward next to a partner, 3 yards apart.
  2. Swing the ball across your body from hip to hip.
  3. Point your fingers at your partner when you let go.
  4. Pass 20 times each way.

Coaching point

Swing across, finish pointing.

Make it fun

Play it, don't drill it

Game version

Pass-and-run trio: pass along the line while running forward and count completed passes, then swap. The trio tries to beat its own last count.

Challenge

Pick a level: Less (walk), Core (jog), More (pass to the weaker side). Beat your own longest run of passes.

Story

You are a relay of pigeons carrying a message down the field.

My best

Beat your own count

Beat your own longest run of passes. Only your own number counts: today against last time.
