The steps

How it works

  1. Stand 6 yards from the goal.
  2. Step with your front foot and shoot overhand.
  3. Follow through so the stick points at your target.
  4. Take 20 shots, 10 each hand.

Coaching point

Step, snap, point at the corner.

Safety: Shoot only at an empty goal or a goalie in full gear (ND200 chest protector). Keep everyone out of the shooting lane.

Make it fun

Play it, don't drill it

Game version

Target game: two teams of two take turns shooting at corner targets. Each team counts only its own hits.

Challenge

Pick a target: Less (big), Core (medium), More (small). Beat your own best out of 10.

Story

You are a goal hunter, and each corner is a treasure chest.

My best

Beat your own count

Beat your own best out of 10. Only your own number counts: today against last time.
