The steps

How it works

  1. Stand 8 yards out.
  2. Aim to bounce the ball a yard in front of the goal.
  3. Keep the shot low and hard.
  4. Take 20 and count the ones that go in.

Coaching point

Pick a spot on the ground and hit it.

Safety: Shoot only at an empty goal or a goalie in full gear (ND200 chest protector). Keep everyone out of the shooting lane.

Make it fun

Play it, don't drill it

Game version

Target game: two teams of two take turns shooting at corner targets. Each team counts only its own hits.

Challenge

Pick a target: Less (big), Core (medium), More (small). Beat your own best out of 10.

Story

You are a goal hunter, and each corner is a treasure chest.

My best

Beat your own count

Beat your own best out of 10. Only your own number counts: today against last time.
