The steps

How it works

  1. Two attackers move in a small zone with one defender between them.
  2. The defender's stick covers the lane; move the puck until a lane opens.
  3. Pass only when the lane is clear.
  4. Play 6 rounds of 1 minute and rotate the defender.

Coaching point

Move the puck to open the lane.

Safety: Keep your stick down and make sure the area around you is clear.

Make it fun

Play it, don't drill it

Game version

Tape-to-tape pairs: pass back and forth and count passes in a row to beat your own last round.

Challenge

Pick a level: Less (close), Core (medium), More (one touch). Beat your own longest run of passes.

Story

You are a pair of dolphins playing catch across the bay.

My best

Beat your own count

Beat your own longest run of passes. Only your own number counts: today against last time.
