The steps

How it works

  1. Your partner passes across from the side.
  2. Open your hips to the net and time your swing.
  3. Strike the puck as it arrives.
  4. Take 20 from each side.

Coaching point

Stick back early, eyes on the puck.

Safety: Keep your stick down and make sure the area around you is clear.

Make it fun

Play it, don't drill it

Game version

Target-corner game: two teams of two take turns shooting at corner targets. Each team counts only its own hits.

Challenge

Pick a target: Less (big), Core (medium), More (small). Beat your own best out of 10.

Story

You are a goal hunter, and each corner is a treasure chest.

My best
