The steps

How it works

  1. Walk through your routine on the floor line, saying each skill out loud.
  2. Practice a pause and a calm reset after each skill.
  3. Run it again with no stops.
  4. Move to a low beam only when your coach says so.

Coaching point

Breathe, reset, next skill.

Safety: The floor line is for home. Any beam work is only in a gym with your coach and mats.

Make it fun

Play it, don't drill it

Game version

Beam buddies: walk the line or low beam while a partner cheers each steady step. Swap, and the pair collects ten steady crossings.

Challenge

Pick a level: Less (a wide line), Core (low beam), More (add a turn). Beat your own best steady crossing.

Story

You are a tightrope walker over a canyon, calm and steady.

My best

Beat your own count

Beat your own best steady crossing. Only your own number counts: today against last time.
