The steps

How it works

  1. Lay out 5 holes using cups and books as walls.
  2. Each player putts their own ball through the course.
  3. Count your own strokes.
  4. Play twice and try to beat your first score.

Coaching point

Smooth and steady.

Safety: At home, use only foam or plastic balls and swing only in a clear space with nothing breakable nearby.

Make it fun

Play it, don't drill it

Game version

Putting ladder: a pair putts from one distance, then moves back a step whenever the pair has made two in a row. Swap putters.

Challenge

Pick a start: Less (3 feet), Core (5 feet), More (8 feet). Beat your own farthest step on the ladder.

Story

You are an explorer climbing a ladder to the treasure cup.

My best

Beat your own count

Beat your own farthest step on the ladder. Only your own number counts: today against last time.
