The steps

How it works

  1. Run 5 yards and fake a hitch with a quick turn of your head.
  2. Explode up the field into a go route.
  3. Look back for the ball over your shoulder.
  4. Run 10 double moves each side.

Coaching point

Sell the first, win the second.

Safety: Warm up first and run on flat, non-slip ground. Stop if a muscle feels tight.

Make it fun

Play it, don't drill it

Game version

Route cards: a partner calls a route (post, slant, out), you run it and catch the pass, then swap. The pair counts routes completed.

Challenge

Pick a level: Less (walk the route), Core (jog), More (add a quick change of speed). Beat your own best.

Story

You are following a treasure map with an X at the end.
