The steps

How it works

  1. Set up serve receive with the libero in the middle.
  2. The libero calls "mine" early on any ball in their lane.
  3. Pass to the target; teammates open up.
  4. Receive 20 serves and swap roles.

Coaching point

Call early, take your lane.

Make it fun

Play it, don't drill it

Game version

Pass-to-target pairs: a partner tosses or serves softly and you pass to a target. The pair counts good passes, then swaps.

Challenge

Pick a level: Less (close), Core (medium), More (to a small target). Beat your own best out of 10.

Story

You are a mail carrier delivering the ball to the setter’s door.

My best

Beat your own count

Beat your own best out of 10. Only your own number counts: today against last time.
