The steps

How it works

  1. Stand on one leg with 3 cones in an arc in front of you.
  2. Reach down and touch each cone without putting the other foot down.
  3. Do 8 rounds, then switch legs.
  4. Rest and repeat once more.

Coaching point

Knee stays over the middle of your foot.

Make it fun

Play it, don't drill it

Game version

Balance duo: a partner calls a cone and you reach to touch it on one leg. Swap, and count your pair’s steady reaches.

Challenge

Pick a level: Less (hold a wall), Core (free), More (reach farther). Beat your own steadiest run.

Story

You are a heron on a log, reaching for a fish without wobbling.

My best

Beat your own count

Beat your own steadiest run. Only your own number counts: today against last time.
