Game version
Overlap partners: one dribbles down the line while the other runs the curved overlap around a cone behind them. Swap roles each turn and rest fully.

Set up
Put a cone as your “teammate” and another 11 yards (10 m) down the side.
Core: A steady run. Aim for smooth arcs, not speed.
The steps
Coaching point
Explode for 11 yards (10 m), walk back.
Safety: Warm up first and run on grass or a flat, dry surface. Full rest between sprints, and stop if anything hurts. Not on a team-training day.
Make it fun

Challenge
Pick a level: Less (jog the curve), Core (a steady run), More (a steady run with a clean first step). Aim for smooth arcs, not speed.
Story
You are a fullback sneaking around the outside while everyone looks the other way.
My best
Aim for smooth arcs, not speed. Only your own number counts: today against last time.
