The steps

How it works

  1. Stand with feet together and arms by your ears.
  2. Rise onto the balls of your feet.
  3. Squeeze legs, belly and glutes and hold.
  4. Do 5 holds and beat your own best.

Coaching point

Tall as a pencil.

Make it fun

Play it, don't drill it

Game version

Form spotters: one shows the skill and the partner shares one thing they liked, like pointed toes or tight legs. Swap.

Challenge

Pick a level: Less (shape only), Core (the skill), More (the skill with a held finish). Beat your own cleanest finish.

Story

You are a statue in a museum, perfectly still at the end.

My best

Beat your own count

Beat your own cleanest finish. Only your own number counts: today against last time.
