The steps

How it works

  1. Hold a wall with one hand.
  2. Swing the outside leg forward and back, small at first.
  3. Let the swings get bigger as you loosen.
  4. Do 10 each direction, each leg.

Coaching point

Relaxed swing, tall body.

Safety: Move into a gentle stretch, never pain. Never bounce, and never let anyone push you deeper.

Make it fun

Play it, don't drill it

Game version

Swing together: partners swing in time with a slow count. Swap sides.

Challenge

Pick a level: Less (small swings), Core (medium), More (a little bigger). Smooth.

Story

You are the pendulum in a clock.

My best

Beat your own count

Smooth. Only your own number counts: today against last time.
