The steps

How it works

  1. Step forward into a long lunge.
  2. Place the opposite hand on the ground beside your front foot.
  3. Reach the other arm up and turn your chest gently.
  4. Do 5 each side, slowly.

Coaching point

Long and slow.

Safety: Move into a gentle stretch, never pain. Never bounce, and never let anyone push you deeper.

Make it fun

Play it, don't drill it

Game version

Mirror stretch: a partner leads the reach and you copy. Swap.

Challenge

Pick a level: Less (a small reach), Core (medium), More (hold a slow breath). Gentle.

Story

You are a tree reaching for the sun.
