The steps

How it works

  1. Choose 9 hard spots: rough, sand, downhill and more.
  2. Chip or pitch, then putt out.
  3. Count the holes finished in two.
  4. Compare only with your own last round of nine.

Coaching point

Plan the landing, then the roll.

Safety: Stand back from anyone who is chipping or putting, keep everyone clear of your club, and wait your turn before you walk onto the green.

Make it fun

Play it, don't drill it

Game version

Chip-to-circle game: chip into hula-hoops at different distances, and the pair keeps one total. Swap after each ball.

Challenge

Pick a hoop: Less (close), Core (medium), More (far). Beat your own best out of 10.

Story

You are a gardener dropping seeds into the right flower pot.

My best

Beat your own count

Beat your own best out of 10. Only your own number counts: today against last time.
