The steps

How it works

  1. Push a tee in so half the ball sits above the top of the club face.
  2. Set your feet a little wider than your shoulders.
  3. Line the ball up with the inside of your front heel.
  4. Step away, then set up again 10 times.

Coaching point

Wide feet, ball forward.

Safety: At home, use only foam or plastic balls and swing only in a clear space with nothing breakable nearby.

Make it fun

Play it, don't drill it

Game version

Fairway-target game: two teams of two take turns hitting to a target zone, standing well apart. Each team counts only its own zone hits.

Challenge

Pick a zone: Less (big), Core (medium), More (small). Beat your own best out of 10.

Story

You are sending a rocket down the fairway to the landing pad.

My best

Beat your own count

Beat your own best out of 10. Only your own number counts: today against last time.
