The steps

How it works

  1. Stand facing a partner about two big steps apart.
  2. The leader moves side to side, forward and back, crouches or claps.
  3. The mirror copies as fast as they can.
  4. Swap every 30 seconds.

Coaching point

Eyes on the belly button, quick feet.

Safety: Use a clear, non-slip space and change direction only as fast as you can control. Stop if a knee or ankle hurts.

Make it fun

Play it, don't drill it

Game version

Mirror Me: the leader makes up moves and the partner copies like a mirror. Swap leaders every 30 seconds.

Challenge

Pick a level: Less (slow moves), Core (steady), More (the leader adds a surprise). Aim to stay in sync.

Story

You are a reflection in a funhouse mirror.
