The steps

How it works

  1. Set up 3 empty bottles in a row.
  2. Pick a spot on the floor to roll over.
  3. Roll a soft ball over that spot.
  4. Do 15 rolls and count bottles knocked.

Coaching point

Roll over your spot.

Safety: At home, practice with no ball or a light soft object, on a clear floor with nothing to trip on.

Make it fun

Play it, don't drill it

Game version

Arrow game: aim at a mark on the lane, and the pair counts how many rolls cross it. Two teams of two each track only their own total.

Challenge

Pick a mark: Less (the first arrow), Core (the second), More (the third). Beat your own best out of 10.

Story

You are a navigator following a star down the lane.
