The steps

How it works

  1. Stand on your sliding leg with the knee slightly bent.
  2. Hold for 15 seconds without wobbling.
  3. Switch legs.
  4. Do 5 holds each side.

Coaching point

Soft knee, still hips.

Safety: Wear bowling shoes or clean socks on a smooth floor, and keep your slide gentle. Stop if your knee or ankle hurts.

Make it fun

Play it, don't drill it

Game version

Alley follow-the-leader: one person leads a gentle stretch or movement and the group copies. Swap the leader each time.

Challenge

Pick a level: Less (slower or smaller), Core (as written), More (one extra twist). Aim for smooth form and compare only with your own last time.

Story

You are an explorer in a giant bowling alley.

My best

Beat your own count

Aim for smooth form and compare only with your own last time. Only your own number counts: today against last time.
