The steps

How it works

  1. Take your last step into a slide.
  2. Bend your front knee and lean slightly forward.
  3. Stretch your back leg behind for balance.
  4. Hold for 3 seconds. Do 15 holds.

Coaching point

Low and still at the line.

Safety: Wear bowling shoes or clean socks on a smooth floor, and keep your slide gentle. Stop if your knee or ankle hurts.

Make it fun

Play it, don't drill it

Game version

Alley follow-the-leader: one person leads a gentle stretch or movement and the group copies. Swap the leader each time.

Challenge

Pick a level: Less (slower or smaller), Core (as written), More (one extra twist). Aim for smooth form and compare only with your own last time.

Story

You are an explorer in a giant bowling alley.

My best
