The steps

How it works

  1. Ball handler starts at the top. Screener sets up next to a cone.
  2. Ball handler dribbles off the screener, shoulder to shoulder.
  3. Screener rolls to the basket with hands ready.
  4. Ball handler decides: shoot, pass to the roller, or keep dribbling. 8 reps each side.

Coaching point

Wait for the screen. Brush shoulders. Read the defender.

Make it fun

Play it, don't drill it

Game version

Pass-and-cut trio: three players pass and cut to a new spot, and the trio counts passes in a row to beat its own last round.

Challenge

Pick a level: Less (stand and pass), Core (pass and cut), More (one-touch passes). Beat your own best.

Story

You are a conductor, and every pass is a note in the music.

My best

Beat your own count

Beat your own best. Only your own number counts: today against last time.
