The steps

How it works

  1. Move in stance around the mat.
  2. Mix in fakes, level changes, shots and sprawls.
  3. Keep moving for 1 minute.
  4. Rest 1 minute and do 5 rounds.

Coaching point

Never stop moving your feet.

Safety: Use a clean mat or soft carpet with space around you. Stop if anything hurts.

Make it fun

Play it, don't drill it

Game version

Stance mirror: a partner leads stance, motion and level changes and you copy, with no contact. Swap leaders every 30 seconds.

Challenge

Pick a level: Less (slow), Core (steady), More (the leader changes direction). Beat your own steadiest mirror.

Story

You are a reflection in a funhouse mirror.
