The steps

How it works

  1. Your center sets up in front of goal with a defender behind.
  2. From the perimeter, put a wet pass to the center's free hand side.
  3. Vary your angle.
  4. Do 15 entries.

Coaching point

Pass away from the defender.

Safety: Only swim with a lifeguard or coach watching and, under 14, a grown-up within arm’s reach.

Make it fun

Play it, don't drill it

Game version

Pass-and-move pairs: pass, move to a new spot and get the ball back. Count passes in a row and try to beat your own last round.

Challenge

Pick a level: Less (close), Core (medium), More (one touch). Beat your own longest run of passes.

Story

You are a pair of dolphins playing catch across the bay.

My best

Beat your own count

Beat your own longest run of passes. Only your own number counts: today against last time.
