The steps

How it works

  1. Your child holds the racket flat with the ball on it.
  2. They walk slowly to a cone and back without dropping it.
  3. If it drops, pick it up and keep going.
  4. Try walking sideways, then a little faster.

Coaching point

Praise the try: “Steady hands! Great balancing.”

Safety: The tool stays low, and everyone else stands back, clear of the swing. Walk, don’t run, on a flat, clear surface.

Make it fun

Play it, don't drill it

Game version

Add a helper: a favorite toy joins in “Egg and Spoon Racket Walk” and cheers for every try. Everyone gets a turn.
