The steps

How it works

  1. Kick up to a handstand with your heels on the wall.
  2. Let your shoulders sink a little toward your ears.
  3. Push the floor away to get as tall as you can.
  4. Do 3 sets of 6, stepping down between sets.

Coaching point

Push the floor away.

Safety: Use a clear wall with a soft mat under your hands. Warm up your wrists first and stop if they hurt. Come down by stepping one foot at a time. Have a grown-up nearby.

Make it fun

Play it, don't drill it

Game version

Gym follow-the-leader: one person leads a movement and the group copies. Swap the leader each time.

Challenge

Pick a level: Less (slower or smaller), Core (as written), More (one extra twist). Aim for smooth form and compare only with your own last time.

Story

You are an explorer crossing the gym like a jungle.

My best

Beat your own count

Aim for smooth form and compare only with your own last time. Only your own number counts: today against last time.
