The steps

How it works

  1. Clap a slow rhythm: clap, clap, jump.
  2. Your child jumps with two feet together like a bunny on “jump”.
  3. Land softly with bent knees.
  4. Add a cheer word on the jump, like “Go team!”

Coaching point

Praise the try: “Such soft bunny landings!”

Safety: On grass or a soft, flat surface. Small jumps only, landing on two feet with bent knees.

Make it fun

Play it, don't drill it

Game version

Try “Bunny Jump Cheer” slow like a turtle, then quick like a bunny, then slow again. Giggles are part of the game.

Story

You are on a space trip, and “Bunny Jump Cheer” is how you move on the moon.
