The steps

How it works

  1. Catch the ball in triple-threat: ball at your hip, knees bent.
  2. Pick a pivot foot and keep it planted.
  3. Pivot forward and back, fake a pass, then make a real pass to your partner or the wall.
  4. Do 10 reps on each pivot foot.

Coaching point

Plant your pivot foot. Do not drag it.

Make it fun

Play it, don't drill it

Game version

Pass-and-cut trio: three players pass and cut to a new spot, and the trio counts passes in a row to beat its own last round.

Challenge

Pick a level: Less (stand and pass), Core (pass and cut), More (one-touch passes). Beat your own best.

Story

You are a conductor, and every pass is a note in the music.

Beat your own count

Beat your own best. Only your own number counts: today against last time.
