SSTracker · Built to train youth athletes

Built around what keeps kids playing.

Kids who quit sport stop at about 13 on average, and “I’m not good enough” is the part former players liked least. SSTracker puts the coach, the parent and the player on one team around what research links to staying: fun, friends, growth they can see against their own past, and adults who show up.

Team and club tools free, always · Player training free for 30 days · No card needed

Private trainers pass a background check before a family can book them, and families pay the listed price by card.

Why SSTracker

Kids leave sport around 13. SSTracker is built around what keeps them playing.

The research on why young athletes stop is clear about a few things. We built every tool around them.

13
about the average age former players stopped
Former players in a national survey said they stopped at 12.9 on average, and about a third stopped between 12 and 14.
29%
named “I’m not good enough” their least favourite part
Feeling not good enough was the part of sport former players liked least, ahead of bad coaching.
86% · 58%
had parents who came to games or practices
86% of players still playing, against 58% of players who had stopped. It is a link, not proof of a cause, and some families cannot always come.
48% · 47%
play for fun, and to be with friends
What current players say keeps them in the game: fun first, friends a close second.

How each tool answers it

  • Answers parents who show up (86% · 58%)

    The Training Triangle

The coach sets the week, the player trains at home, and the parent has a real part in each drill: feeder, target or timer, never contact. Nobody trains alone.

  • Answers “not good enough” (29%)

The Recognition Loop, with a kind-words check

The coach says “Seen it” with one specific line about the effort, and the parents get the same words. Put-downs and comparisons are refused before anything is saved.

  • Answers “not good enough” (29%)

    Growth against their own past

Progress charts show each child against their own last month and last season. No screen ranks one child against another.

  • Answers fun and friends (48% · 47%)

    The Planner

What practice works on leads the homework, with rest days and the time limits for the age built in, so training at home supports practice instead of piling on.

  • Answers fun and friends (48% · 47%)

    Pick today’s game

About one home session in three is a game the player picks, and some have a version to play with a parent or a friend.

  • Answers fun and friends (48% · 47%)

    Team goals

One bar the whole team fills together. Every session counts, nobody is named, and the team sees only its total.

  • Answers parents who show up (86% · 58%) and “not good enough” (29%)

    Ideas for parents

One short idea at a time for the ride home, like “I love to watch you play”, each with its source, and an invitation to come and watch that a parent can turn off.

  • Answers “not good enough” (29%) and parents who show up (86% · 58%)

No rankings, no ads, data never sold

No leaderboards between children, no advertising or trackers on any screen a child sees, and a child’s data is never sold, to anyone.

No study has yet shown that any app, ours included, keeps kids in sport. SSTracker is designed around the factors research links to staying, and it leaves out the ones linked to leaving.

The training triangle

Built to train youth athletes: coach, player and parent as one team

Real improvement happens between practices, when the three people around a young athlete pull the same way. Tap, click or hover a corner to see what each one does in the app today.

The athlete at the centre

Player

Trains at home and sees the growth

  • Trains real drills for their own sport, each with the steps, the coach’s cue and the space it needs.
  • Keeps a weekly streak: a week counts when the plan is met, 3 training days unless the coach sets another number. Rest days and sick days never break it, and the best streak is kept forever.
  • Fills a sticker book where every empty slot shows how to earn it. Stickers already earned are in it from the start.
  • Sees their own progress against their own past, never a ranking against other players.

The Recognition Loop: every athlete’s work at home, seen

Young athletes keep training when the people who matter notice the work. In the app, the coach sees what a player did at home, says what they saw, and the parents see it too.

Step 1 · Player

Logs a session or homework, or records a few short takes of a drill and sends the best one as a “show me” clip, only to their coach and their own parents.

Why SSTracker

Club tools, training kids want, and parents in the loop

Most clubs juggle one app for the schedule, another for drills and a group chat for parents. SSTracker is one place where the coach, the player and the parent pull the same way, and running the club costs nothing.

  • 01

    Running your club is free

Rosters, teams, schedules, registration with card payments, and the coach and parent portals cost nothing, ever. You pay only if you want player training.

  • 02

    Training kids come back to

Real drills for their own sport, XP and streaks with rest days built in, and a sticker book and player card earned only by training. Nothing to buy, no random prizes.

  • 03

    Workouts built from youth research

Complete workouts by position and age, timed from the drills, with a focus a coach can choose, like weak foot or first touch. Off-season workouts keep players ready without pressure.

  • 04

    Parents in the loop

Alerts on their phone, the coach’s exact words for each drill and a part to play at home, and a note when their child beats their own best.

  • 05

    Coaches see the effort

Send a session in a minute, give a Coach’s pick for effort, and excuse an injured player so their streak waits for them.

  • 06

Safety you can show a parent

Consent before any data, no private staff messages to a child, background-checked coaches, game stats held after a match, no heading in soccer plans for young players, no ads, and player data never sold.

For everyone around the player

One platform, four people, each with a reason to use it

Club directors

Run the whole club, free

  • Teams, rosters, coach invites and card registration in one place, free.
  • See who still needs a background check and which families owe a consent.
  • Add player training only when you want it, and see exactly where you stand.

Coaches

Know who did the work

  • Send homework from the Training tab in about a minute, or pick a ready-made workout for each position and age.
  • Messages go to the team with a copy to parents, never one-to-one with a child.
  • Give a Coach’s pick for effort, and excuse a hurt player so their streak waits.

Parents

Be part of it, not just the ride home

  • Alerts on your phone when the coach sets homework, with the coach’s words and your part in each drill.
  • A note when your child beats their own best, and this month next to last month.
  • Consent first, your child’s data never sold, and delete it any time.
See the parent side
Train together on a parent's phone: the coach's drills with the parent's part in each one, and goals that count effort, never scores.

Players

A reason to train tomorrow

  • XP, levels and streaks with rest days built in, for their own sport.
  • A sticker book and a player card, earned only by training. Nothing to buy.
  • Progress against their own past, never a ranking against other kids.

How it works

Three steps from sign-up to a child who wants to train

  1. 01Club

    The club sets up, free

A director adds teams, invites coaches and families, and sees who still needs a background check or a consent. Running the club costs nothing.

A director's payments page: running the club is free, registration payments go through Stripe, and Player OS training is on.
  2. 02Coach

The coach sets the week's goals

Plan the season once in the Planner: each week gets a focus, each practice its drills from the built-in library, and the homework that matches practice comes first.

The coach's Planner: the year, the season, the off-season and each month, with the research behind every suggestion.
  3. 03Player and parent

The player trains. The parent follows along.

Every session earns XP in a skill and opens harder drills. The player sees only their own progress; the parent sees the week.

A player's Progress tab: their own sessions each week and minutes each month, against their own past and nobody else's.

Player safety

Safety is built in, not bolted on

  • A parent's consent before any data

Nothing is collected from a child until a parent says yes. A parent can take it back at any time.

    Children's privacy
  • No private messages from staff to a child

Coaches and staff write to the team, with a copy to parents. Never one-to-one to a child.

    SafeSport
  • Coaches are background-checked first

A coach sees player information only after a verified background-check report, or an association or league clearance that the club director has looked up in the association’s own records. An association clearance ends on its date, and the account locks again.

    Clearance policy
  • Game stats held for 15 minutes

A child's match numbers stay hidden for 15 minutes after a session ends, so the ride home is about the child, not the score.

    After a match
  • No advertising to children

No ads, no sponsor placements and no ad trackers on any screen a child sees.

    Privacy policy
  • Player data is never sold

Not to anyone, ever. A child's information is used only to run the service.

The research

Why we built it this way: what keeps young athletes training

Each choice below comes from a published finding. Open any source and read it for yourself.

“I built SSTracker after a coach told my daughter, new to sports, that she wasn’t good enough. My daughter hadn’t played many sports and was struggling to practice, and I wanted her to see that with steady effort she could go from knowing nothing about a sport to becoming a skilled athlete.”

Real drills for 22 sports

Each sport has its own drills and skills, written for young players: the steps, a coach's cue, the space and what to bring. Rain or a late practice? Switch on training inside and get a warm-up first, then drills that fit a living room.

Pricing

Club management is free, always.

Player OS training is the paid part: from $29 a month for a club, after a 30-day free trial, or $7.50 a month per player for a family on its own.

Good questions

Before you sign up

Is it really free for my club?

Yes. Rosters, teams, schedules, registration and payments, and the coach and parent portals cost nothing, with no seat limits. A card payment to the club carries one fee that includes card processing; the family pays the listed price. It is on the pricing page.

What does player training cost?

A club adds Player OS from $29 a month, after a 30-day free trial with no card. A family on its own can add it for $7.50 a month per player. Running the club stays free whether you add it or not.

Will my coaches have time for this?

A session takes about a minute to send, and the Workout Library has ready-made workouts for every position and age. Players see the steps on their phone; coaches see who did them.

We already use another app for our schedule.

Keep it while you try SSTracker. Import your roster from a spreadsheet, start with training homework, and move the rest when you are ready. Club tools stay free either way.

Is my child’s data safe?

A parent consents before anything is collected. There are no ads, player data is never sold, staff never message a child one to one, and a parent can download or delete their child’s data at any time.
